Setup Guide

Get your assistant live on your website.

No developer needed. If you can copy and paste, you can do this. And if you'd rather not, we'll install it for you.

2

Add your business and website

Enter your business name and website address. The assistant reads your pages and learns your services, hours and service area, so it answers like your business, not a template. Give it a moment to finish.

3

Check its answers and make it yours

Before customers see it, ask it what they'd ask. Open the Playground in your dashboard and try a few:

"Do you do emergency calls?" "What areas do you cover?" "How much is a drain cleaning?"

If an answer is wrong or missing, correct it in plain English. While you're there, set your colors, logo and greeting.

Part 2Put it on your website

4

Copy your code

Go to Chatbot in your dashboard and click Copy next to the embed snippet. It's one line, and it's unique to your business. You don't need to understand it, just like you don't need to know how phones work to dial a number.

Embed snippetExample. Yours has your own ID
<script src="https://myprospectportal.com/chatbot.js?client_id=YOUR-ID"></script>
5

Paste it into your website

Where it goes depends on what your site is built with. Pick yours:

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New and install a code plugin like "Insert Headers and Footers" or "WPCode".
  2. Activate the plugin and open its settings.
  3. Paste your snippet into the Footer field and save.
Don't manage your own website?

Forward the snippet to whoever does. Or click Let us install it for you on the Chatbot page, and we'll reach out to set up access with you directly. We never ask for your website password in the dashboard.

6

Verify it's live

Back on the Chatbot page, click Verify My Chatbot Is Live. Until it's verified, your account is limited. Verifying unlocks everything else:

Now open your website. You should see a small chat bubble in the bottom corner. Ask it something to be sure.

Part 3Optional extras a few minutes each, from Integrations

7

Connect your email Every plan

Sign in with Gmail or Outlook, and customer emails show up in your inbox next to your website chats. Replies go out from your own address.

Turn on missed-call text-back Pro & Scale

When a call rings out, the caller gets a text from your business within seconds. You keep your number.

  1. Get your text-back number. We set up a number that receives your forwarded calls.
  2. Turn on call forwarding. Dial one short code from your phone. Calls you answer ring exactly like before.
  3. Go live. Place a test call, then switch it on.

Using your personal cell? Add friends and family to your never-text list so they're skipped.

Troubleshooting

I don't see the chat bubble on my site

Make sure you saved and published. Wix, Webflow and Squarespace changes don't show until you publish. Check the code is in the footer or end-of-body area for all pages, not just one. Then reload in a private window, since browsers sometimes show an old copy of your site.

"Verify" says it can't find the chatbot

Run the same checks as above, and make sure you pasted it on the same website you entered when you signed up. Still stuck? Send us your web address and we'll look.

Someone else built my website

Forward them your snippet from step 4. Most web designers can add it in a few minutes. Or use Let us install it for you on the Chatbot page.

Can I change its answers later?

Yes, any time, from your dashboard. You don't need to touch the code on your website again.

Stuck on something?

That's on us to fix, not you. Tell us where you got stuck and we'll sort it out.
